Lokva Rogoznica is the most beautiful part of Omiš Riviera, 7 km away from Omiš, 25 km from Makarska and 30 km from Split. The rich history of Lokva Rogoznica dates back to 1230 when seven noble families moved to the area which they received as a reward from King of Hungary Bela IV. After the Adriatic Highway was built in 1966, the residents of Lokva Rogorznica started to descend towards the sea, creating tourist resorts such as Ruskamen, Obriz, Vojskovo, Plani Rat and Ivašnjak. The old village of Lokva became an excursion site.

The best landmark of Lokva Rogoznica`s rich history are her churches like Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Church of Kuzma and Damjan from the 16th century and at the top of Omis Dinara Church of St. Vid from 13-14th century. There is a walking path to the church, which is ideal for all ages of mountain hikers.
